Dominic Skerry, from estate agents Lillicrap Chilcott, said: 'Seaways is on the Warren, which is the best road in Polperro, and this is the best house in the village.
'It's one of those iconic Cornish positions. It's south-facing on the south coast so you get the sun all day round there.
'It's part of, and in the heart of, one of the few remaining traditional fishing villages.
'This is the second time we have sold it. The previous owner's favourite thing was to sit on the terrace with his binoculars watching the fishing boats come in and seeing what they had caught, then heading down to the quayside to buy some fish.'

Mr Skerry said no expense had been spared during the refurbishment.
'It needed money spent when the current owners bought it and they have gutted it and put new systems in and spent a fortune to make it how they wanted it,' he said.
'They put the swimming pool in, which was a bit of a battle with the council, extended into the loft and put in the hot tub.
'They totally revamped the inside and it's not been done on the cheap, everything is the best it can be. They're only selling because the family have gone to university and it's not getting used as much.'

'The nice thing about Polperro is there are still a lot of local people left there so you have got a good community in the winter, unlike some places that are a bit of a ghost town. It's got a really nice feel to it.'
